Welcome to Fish Pere Marquette.
My name is Steve Martinez owner operator of STM Outfitters, a guide service committed to giving the best experience possible on our gorgeous rivers. This page is dedicated to give you information on fishing the Pere Marquette River. I will also touch on other rivers in the area including the Muskegon, Manistee as well as some other northern Michigan streams such as Thunder Bay and Black River.
I am fortunate enough to have spent my entire life within a half mile of the Pere Marquette River fishing it with my father when I was eight. He taught me that fishing is only partly about the catch but it’s time spent with friends and family and teaching them about their surrounding environment that is so important.
As a full time fishing and hunting guide, I spend most of my days rowing the river in search of steelhead, king salmon and river browns. When the summer arrives I spend most of my time targeting giant brown trout at night. Mix in open water smallmouth/largemouth and northerns in the fall months and you will find there is never a shortage of something to fish for in this area.
We also offer guided waterfowl hunts for ducks and geese on leased fields- but my true passion is fishing.
