Pere Marquette Fishing Still Good!

May 1st, 2009 by steve

Pere Marquette steelhead fishing is still good, but with higher stained water, it will can be difficult to know where the gravel
pockets are. Fish bright colored egg patterns and large wooley buggers or egg sucking leeches, those are sure bets.

Brown trout are getting active as well. We have been seeing good hatches as well with blue wing olives, hendricksons and black stones.

Streamer fishing with flies like Circus Peanuts, Clouser Minnows and Zoo Cougars will be productive.

Please catch and release
